A Brief History About Marlette Homes
Marlette Homes based in Hermiston, Oregon - a part of Clayton Homes and Berkshire Hathaway since 2003. Proudly carrying on the Marlette tradition: "Designed for Living. Built for Life."

It all began in Marlette, Michigan in 1953 when Earl Swett, Charlie Ballard and Paul Riedle began making manufactured homes in a converted lumber company under the name of Marlette Coach Company. Today, Marlette remains an icon within the manufactured housing industry. Located in Hermiston Oregon, near the border of Washington State, Marlette continues to pioneer new standards for design and quality that have repeatedly earned it "Manufacturer of the Year".
Marlette's brand and reputation for quality earned it a deep loyalty and allowed Heritage to focus on Marlette homes. During the 2008 housing recession, many others went by the wayside or became outsourced builders for other brands. Today, only Marlette continues its proud tradition of building a single brand. Heritage Home Center carries this tradition forward, selling only Marlette Homes.
